Dr. Knirk, Care Center Hospital for Animals, MI

Kristin Knirk, DVM

Dr. Knirk has been with the Care Center since 2007. She is a Michigan State graduate. Her greatest joy about veterinary medicine is that every day is different and presents interesting challenges. Dr. Knirk is a proud pet parent of one rescued German Shepherd mix and several rescued cats. She is active with the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association and currently serves on its Executive Board. Dr. Knirk is also an active board member of the Animal Aid of Branch County, a foster based, non-profit rescue. She enjoys traveling, attempting to garden and exercising.

Claire, Lead Veterinary Technician

Claire joined the Care Center team in 2008. She really enjoys doing dental procedures on the pets that come into the clinic. Her favorite part of being a veterinary technician is that every day is different and you never know what may come your way. She has one dog of her own, Mossy, which is a beautiful 5 year old Rottweiler. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her niece, hunting, and going on roadtrips.

Beth, Veterinary Technician

Beth has been at the Care Center since 2005, after her family moved to Olivet from the Detroit area. Prior to working at the Care Center, she worked at a specialty and emergency animal hospital in the ICU/ER deparment. Her favorite part of being a Veterinary Technician is caring for the hospitalized patients. She is a proud mom of 2 boys, 2 black lab mixes, 2 calico cats, 5 chickens and 2 gerbils. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping, and observing wildlife.

Jessica, Veterinary Technician

Jessica has been working at the Care Center since 2011. She has always had a strong passion for animal science and a passion for working with both large and small animals. She is a proud pet parent of two Jack Russell Terriers and two cats. She also raises beef cattle and works with horses. She and her husband have a strong interest in farming practices.

Brittney, Veterinary Technician

Brittney has been working at the Care Center since 2016. She is a pet parent to a beagle named Pepper and several Scottish Fold cats. She has been breeding Scottish Folds for the past 5 years. Brittney enjoys fishing and gardening in her spare time.

Angie, Practice Manager

Angie has been working at the Care Center since January of 2013, after her family moved back to Coldwater from Kalamazoo. Her favorite part of working for the Care Center, is that every day is different and she is always learning. She has had a passion for animals since she was very young. Throughout her life she's had a wide variety of pets and her newest hobby is beekeeping. Her hope is to pass her love of animals to her children. She is a mom of 2 young children, 1 Pitbull, 2 bearded dragons and 3 cat. Her family also fosters with Animal Aid of Branch County. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, going to the lake, reading and watching movies.

Lynette, Office Manager

Lynette joined the Care Center staff in the Spring of 2013. She has always had  a passion for  animals. Even though Lynette's positon is mainly office related, she certainly enjoys the little interaction she gets with pets coming into our facility.

Lynette is the mother of two beautiful daughters that occupy her time with sporting events. Her "furry family" consists of a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix and a longhaired calico cat.

Lynette enjoys watching her girls play sports, yard work, camping as well as other outdoor activities and spending time with family.

Kinsey, Grooming

Kinsey has been grooming since 2014. She graduated from the Michigan School of Canine Cosmetology and grooms both dogs and cats. She worked for the Care Center as a Pet Care Attendant prior to attending grooming school. Kinsey grew up in the Coldwater area and has two dogs of her own, Cooper and Loki.
